Philosopher Prof. Leonidas Donskis

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to insult, freedom to disrespect others. The more anonymity and possibilities to insult and offend others we get, the more restricted our freedom to be honorable and freedom of self-realization is.

It is very important what virtual space is – is it deformed and anonymous, is everyone entitled to distribute whatever he/she wants or conversely – because certain communicational and political standards are being formed through it.

If you react the same way and slip into the same anonymous angry talks it will not change anything. More polite communication and even minimal respect would be a huge step towards better comments.
